A conference for large object conservators
ImperialWar Museum Duxford is delighted to be hosting Big Stuff 2010, a conference forlarge object conservators.
Theconference boasts an international panel of speakers from as far afield asAustralia, Canada, America and Europe, discussing objects ranging fromplesiosaur specimens at the Natural History Museum to industrial sites inGermany.
Thesessions will be held in the Marshall Auditorium within AirSpace at ImperialWar Museum Duxford and are timed to allow delegates ample opportunity to viewthe exhibitions. Morning and afternoon refreshments and lunch are included inthe registration fee.
OnSaturday 9 October, onboard HMS Belfast,National Historic Ships will be launching its latest publication, Conserving Historic Vessels, volumethree in the Understanding HistoricVessels series.
HolidayInn Express have kindly offered their new hotel at Whittlesford Parkway stationto be the conference hotel and have offered a discount to all delegates. Thehotel location provides easy access to Cambridge and is on the mainline railroute out of London Liverpool Street. Transport to and from Duxford will alsobe provided.
